Caution: this area is boobytrapped by an invisible force that strikes without warning. People have been caught by it and pulled down and needed stitches. (That darn gravity.)

There are lots more great canyons and caves around here at the Singhampton Caves. Explore around the area of (Elev479m N44°24.461' W80°15.622').

Use extreme caution when hiking, because people have slipped and fallen to their death in rugged terrain like this. So as a precaution wear hiking shoes with good traction and use the buddy system. Even so, it can still be dangerous, your traction can suddenly change to slipperyness.

The parking area shown at the top left corner of the map is at (Elev505m N44°24.358' W80°15.843') from the north east corner of this parking area the path goes north a bit and then turns east to join the main trail. This is about a five minute hike to these unforgettable caverns and caves.
The other parking near there is the corner at (Elev505m N44°24.239' W80°15.818').

Bring a water bottle, a flashlight, and some friends, it is an awesome place!

Here are the driving instructions to get to
the best nature hiking parts of the Singhampton Caves and Caverns
Pack a flashlight for the caves, and some snacks. From the 400 Hwy, in Ontario, Canada, get off and turn left on Bayfield St. in Barrie (Hwy. 26 & 27) Go north past Barrie, and turn left with Hwy. 26 in Midhurst. Follow 26 west to Stayner. Then keep going straight (Hwy. 91) west to Duntroon. Duntroon is on the Trail Map at the top of this page. Also if you have a map of Ontario look a little south of Collingwood for Duntroon. Continue west a couple more blocks. Turn right, and there is parking at the end of the road. Or from there you can drive on the gravel streets to the parking which is just beside the caves. That is at the top left corner of the trail map. The trail around there has magnificent scenery, cliffs, and caves. Don't forget your camera!
