To make money from wood cutting in RuneScape it is best that your woodcutting level is 60
or more so that you can cut down yew trees.
You can sell yew logs for 280gp each. So if you have 60 woodcutting,
you can make a lot of money from chopping down yew trees and selling the logs.
If your woodcutting isn’t 60 yet, cutting willow trees will get you 20gp for every willow you collect.
For cutting willows, the best place is in Draynor village right behind the bank.
There are plenty of willow trees back there,
and the bank is right beside it for when your inventory gets full.
The best axe for woodcutting is the rune axe.
You can usually buy a rune axe for about 20k (20,000gp).
You also have to be level 40 or higher strength to be able to wield a rune axe.
But if you have the money and the level, the rune axe is well worth it.
