Grade 3 Braille
These are the Grade 3 braille contractions and abbreviations.
Ignore the words with dashes in front of them because they are doubles, so use the short-form of it without the dash (or the one with the dash if you prefer).
I made this page for those who want to use braille short-forms for when writing notes down.
The dots 4-5-6 are from the braille cell, 4 being top right, 5 being middle right, and 6 being bottom right. They are placed in front of the letter to make the contractions.
There are a few abbreviations with dots before and after the letter(s), or even in
between letters.
The letters that are multiple capital letters together are a single braille symbol, so for writing them in capitals helps recognize them as that in your notes. Also, for the 'ING' I just put g because that's what they did for "deceiving; dcvg" and "declaring; dclg", etc. For 'FOR' I just put '4', and for 'WITH' I just put the with symbol (a 'w' with the last up line crossed like a 't'). Enjoy.
