Janayre Vaughan
When it comes to entrepreneurs, Janayre Vaughan of Natural Nails by Janayre certainly has the recipe for success. Janayre launched her company in 1996. Though she started small, the success of her business forced her to expand to the full spacious basement of her home. The beautifully decorated salon allows her the room to provide unbeatable professional services in a relaxed atmosphere. "As well as a nail salon, where we do natural nail spa manicures, Brisa Gel Nails, Light Elegance Nails and paraffin wax treatments, we also have a private aesthetics room. This room provides a relaxed atmosphere for our European Spa pedicures, lash and brow tinting, facial waxing and Tooth Fairy tooth charms."
Although Janayre has a home based business, she has been recognized nationally and internationally as an award winning nail technician, as well as her contributions to improve the industry in which she has worked as an educator, lecturer, keynote speaker and International nail competition judge.
Janayre's work and salon have been featured in several newspapers and magazines. She was profiled in the January 2000 issue of the American Nails magazine, as one of the most influential nail technicians in the professional nail industry.
Janayre and her salon have also enjoyed the ongoing approval of many Barrie residents, as the recipient of multiple Readers' Choice Awards for the multiple categories of Favourite Nail Technician, Best Manicure and Best Pedicure.
Janayre actively gives back to the community of Barrie where she lives and works. She has been a regular sponsor of the annual Big Sister golf tournament. She was a co-organizer and participant in the Barrie Manicure for hope, a breast cancer fundraiser. She holds annual fundraising events with proceeds going to both the Barrie SPCA and the Ontario SPCA Wildlife rehabilitation Centre. She has sponsored area High School Co-Op students as well as speaking at High School career days.

Janayre is very committed to the nail and aesthetic industry. Staying on top of the latest advances in the business, Vaughan launched her own hand and nail care product line, Cameocreation, in March of 2000. As an avid supporter of the SPCA, Janayre was compelled to incorporate an animal friendly clause into her contract for the production of these products that are now being distributed nationally to select salons and distributors.
