The Gold Rush

    It was 1848 and Ann Bend was on her pa’s wagon. They once lived in
Maine but they now were on their way to California. The Bend family had
longed for a better life and now they were going to have a better life. Pa
heard there was a rush thing about gold in California. It was called the
Gold Rush. Millions made their way for the gold. Ann’s family was already in
west Arizona and several miles to gold land. Suddenly there was a quick
jerk. “Hash down the wheel”, said Pa. Ann jumped down. She looked   around
for a round item. “Here”, said Ann holding up a gold ring. “Ann”, yelled
Mrs. Bend. “You have found our lifetime trade!”
