The little child of Bethlehem,
Blessed may he be.
Let mother Mary hold her son,
While father Joseph listens
To little Jesus softly breathing,
Softly, softly breathing.
He slumbers very peacefully,
While shepherds smile,
And the star of Bethlehem watches over him.
