Droplets of pain roll down her round cheeks
Stabs of sorrow clench her heart
Hate fills the once peaceful atmosphere
War has destroyed her lush forests
Misery has conquered her tender animals
The birds no longer soar
The creepers no longer crawl
The swimmers no longer swim
The waves no longer roll
The breeze no longer whispers
Mother Earth weeps with the sadness of an angel
But hope is a light which she desperately searches for
Love is a past she desperately clings to
Man has burned her beautiful greens
Man has blackened her sweet air
Man has tortured and pained her soul
Will she lift her eyes once more to the heavens?
Will she smile once more with motherly love?
Or will she always cry with tears of the future?
