 THURSDAY, FEB 5/04

SKI - CONCESSION 3

Enjoyed a good ski with about a half dozen local skiers from the Ganaraska Club through the county forest bordering on concession 3 and the Bass Lake Sideroad. In spite of recent heavy snowfall, conditions were excellent with plenty of base and enough top snow to choose our own trail through the bush. A good time was had by all with refreshments at the end.

    SATURDAY, JULY 17/04

CANOE - BIG EAST RIVER

A group of nine canoes did the section of the Big East River running south of Arrowhead Provincial Park and over to Lake Veron. A sunny day, water high enough for good whitewater, current fast enough for easy paddling and water just right for swimming. A good time was had by all. Photos by Murry Fenner.

SATURDAY, NOV. 6/04

HIKING - MUSKOKA

A sunny day (unusual at this time of year), a good group and an interesting trail over a rocky area just south of the Gibson River in western Muskoka. A good workout enjoyed by all.

SATURDAY, NOV 13/04

    HIKE - ORO-MEDONTE

Two good Saturdays in a row with a good crowd the hiked from Oro-Medonte 11 right-of-way through hardwood and pine bush, over hill and dale to come out at Line 5. A good day, a good group and a good way to end the season.

SUNDAY, FEB 27/05

    SKI- ORO-MEDONTE TO BASS LAKE

Three skiers started from Oro-Medonte Line 8 along the Ganarask Trail down to Bass Lake and across. A good sunny day with plenty of snow considering the year, two going all the way to arrive to a warm fire in plenty of time for the bus.
